Two men from regional Victoria breach COVID-19 rules after strip club visit

Two men from regional Victoria have been fined for breaching the state's coronavirus restrictions after attempting to visit a strip club in Melbourne.
The men were stopped by Victoria Police at a vehicle checkpoint in the Macedon Ranges and issued with the penalty for a Stage 4 restricted area.
Police said the pair had planned to "attend a strip club" but arrived to find none of the clubs open.
A total of 82 fines were issued fines overnight after breaching Victoria's Chief Health Officer COVID-19 directions.

Of this number, 13 failed to wear a face mask when leaving home and 11 breaches were recorded at checkpoints.
Among them was a Melton woman who was on board a train between Sunshine and Southern Cross station, outside the 5km radius from her home.
She told police she was going into the city to buy organic food.
